Split End Prevention
Automated Grooming Device
For many consumers, split ends are an important indicator of hair damage.   They are formed as the result of chemical processing, heat styling and combing, and arise from the loss of hair cuticle, the external ‘jacket’ that keeps the hair intact. If you want to show how your product, or styling device, prevents split ends, then you might want to consider our split-end test.

At TRI, the repeated grooming apparatus has been adapted for split-end testing.  Split end prevention tests measure the number of new split-ends created after hundreds of combing cycles.  Split end prevention claims are usually delivered through improved conditioning and reduced hair tangling.

TRI also offer split end repair tests.
