Giorgiana Giancola

Director – Hair Care Program

Dr. Giorgiana Giancola earned her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering with a focus in polymeric materials. She has mastered techniques in the formation of novel composite materials through melt processing by way of extrusion, injection molding, and compression molding. She has worked extensively in materials characterization techniques including mechanical analysis, DSC, rheology, FTIR, Raman, SEM, EDS, XRD, XRF, and TEM. 

She transitioned into the personal care arena initially specializing in the research of newly generated component materials for finished products, testing formulations and has travelled globally in support of sales and marketing as a technical specialist. At TRI, Giorgiana sits as the Director of the Hair Care Program, working with new and existing clients to generate hair testing projects with the goal of evaluating product performance and substantiating claims.

 

She is a long time member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists and the former Vice President of the Society of Plastics Engineers Palisades Chapter.
