Leila Sorrells holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of South Florida and is pursuing an MS in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University. Her research has concentrated on tissue engineering and pharmaceutical formulation, with a focus in additive manufacturing. Leila joined TRI in 2021 as a summer research intern to develop an automated single fiber friction instrument. Currently, Leila is continuing research on single hair fiber measurements while contributing to other projects on the Hair Research Team.
