NYSCC Suppliers’ Day 2024: Review & Picture Gallery

NYSCC SUPPLIERS’ DAY took place at the Javits Convention Centre in New York City on

Wednesday May 1st and Thursday May 2nd . At the event Dr Samuel Gourion-Arsiquaud

(Director, Skin and Bio-substrates) gave a lecture titled “Investigation of the changes in

scalp condition with curl type and wash frequency during two clinical studies performed in

the US and South Africa”. TRI also had an exhibition booth. At the booth the team offered

instant hair health tests using a mini-FTIR instrument (Agilent Cary 430 – Benchtop FTIR).

Here are some picture reminders of the event. As can be seen, the booth drew lots of

visitors on both days!

13th World Congress for Hair Research: Yee-Haw!

Dr Ernesta Malinauskyte (Director, Hair Research), attended the 13th World Congress for Hair Research in Dallas, Texas, on April 6-9.  The conference, that is focused on hair growth and hair and scalp disease, brings together hair research societies from around the world.  This year the event coincided with the solar eclipse over Texas on April 8th.

TRI Presents at SCC Annual Scientific Meeting

TRI had two successful podium presentations at the SCC77th Annual Scientific & Showcase in New York in December.  Dr Ernesta Malinauskyte presented on textured hair and Dr Xuzi Kang presented on lipsticks.  Slides for both presentations are now available to view on the TRI Library for anyone who missed them https://library.triprinceton.org/211o3j4/ & https://library.triprinceton.org/20sc5ud/  Access is restricted to TRI Library members and TRI member companies.

Xuzi presented her work on lipstick technology and testing in a talk titled ‘From the Lips to the Lab: A Close-to-Life Exploration of Lipstick Performance and Characteristics’.  Ernesta shared the latest work performed at TRI on the development of new claims support methods for textured hair (‘Celebrating Textured Hair: Bridging Science and Beauty’).  Both presentations were very well received and generated further interest in the work being performed at TRI.
