Senior Research Associate
Walaa Mohamed holds a BA in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Religion from Rutgers University. From her time at Ingredion, Walaa has gained extensive knowledge in method development, method validation, physical and chemical research techniques for synthesis of raw materials, specifically carbohydrates. She then moved into the personal care industry working at Hair Systems Inc. where she formulated hair bleach powders, creams, and dry shampoos. From there she went on to work at Johnson & Johnson aiding in the creation, editing, and maintenance of documentation for facial cleansers in addition to product stability studies. Throughout her career she has taken products from the bench through the manufacturing scale, while simultaneously maintaining the quality of products that are already on the market. She has the experience of working with international cross-functional teams while managing multiple projects with internal and external clients. Currently, Walaa is a Research Associate at TRI Princeton and her focus will be on product evaluation testing for hair care as well as client interfacing and support.
