Honorary Fellow

Yash received his undergraduate degree in chemistry and physics and a graduate degree in plastic technology from the University of Bombay.  He received his Ph. D. degree from the University of Connecticut in physical chemistry.  He joined TRI as a Postdoctoral fellow and rose through the ranks to the position of Research Director.

 

Yash shared the Literature Award of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists with his supervisor Dr H.-D. Weigmann in1986. Yash and his colleagues received the best paper awards for three of their papers. Yash received the Honorary Membership of The Fiber Society in 2001 and an Honorary Fellowship of TRI/Princeton in 2009.  In 2010 Yash received the Maison G. de Navarre Medal Award of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists.
 
Currently, Yash is working in hair research of interest to him, and also as a consultant for the cosmetic industry.
