Dr Paul Cornwell attended Society for Cosmetic Science Annual Conference in Liverpool, UK that was held on the 1st and 2nd July, 2026. He was also joined by Dr Philippa Cranwell, Technical Content Creator for TRI.

At the ISBS, Jessica gave a talk titled “Spectroscopic Clinical Evaluation of Next-Generation Sunscreen Performance: Assessing UV Filter Beyond SPF in Realistic Global Warming Conditions”, which was based upon work completed at TRI. In this talk, Jessica considered how skin surface temperature during solar exposure can impact upon sunscreen efficacy, which is becoming more important due to climate change.

There are two main branches of microscopy: optical and electron. This mini-series will discuss both, outlining key differences between the two, as well as providing key use-cases within cosmetic science and examples of the outputs that can be generated.
