Jessica Turner
Staff Scientist
Jessica obtained her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in May 2021. She received a NASA Space Technology Research Fellowship to assess human mesenchymal stem cells on tissue engineering constructs in altered gravity conditions during her doctoral research. Her doctoral research concentrated on bone tissue, biomaterials, in vitro cell cultures, and the cellular response to altered gravity environments. In June 2022, Jessica became a post-doctoral fellow with the Skin & BioSubstrates team at TRI Princeton. She was promoted to the position of Staff Scientist in April 2024. While at TRI, Jessica has broadened her expertise in skin and hair within the cosmetic science industry, utilizing her skills to advance the field of skin and hair research and foster the development of new applications. She has also delivered both oral and poster presentations on skin and hair research at various technical conferences, including the International Society for Biophysics and Imaging of the Skin (ISBS), Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC), HairS’, Innovations in Dermatological Science Conference (CDR), TRI Principles of Skin Measurement and Claims Course, TRI 11th International Conference on Applied Hair Science, and TRI Talks.
