Martin Zorde
Postdoctoral Fellow
Martin Zorde earned his PhD in plant biology at the Rutgers University with a focus on natural products in 2024. Currently, Martin is acting as a Postdoctoral Fellow at TRI Princeton as a part of the hair research team. Here his work focuses on the mechanical properties of hair and uses analytical chemistry methodologies, like high performance liquid chromatography and mass spectroscopy, to understand the underlying mechanisms that dictate the properties of hair. As a trained bioprospector, ethnobotanist, and plant breeder Martin has a proven track record of evaluating and developing natural products for various applications. His guiding philosophy has been how best to improve human health using plants and plant products while leaving the world healthier and more sustainable.
