The Skin & Bio-Substrates team at TRI Princeton continue to push forward successfully with new publications and with appearances at major external events. In May the team co-published an article with DSM Nutritional Products and Newtone Technologies titled “On the Map - Skin Actives for Scalp Care”. In June, Dr Samuel Gourion-Arsiquaud (Director of Skin & Bio-Substrates) presented at a BASF Pharma Solutions training event titled the ‘Topicals Academy’.
The publication in the SOFW Journal (https://library.triprinceton.org/1vo3b0r/ ) describes how saccharide isomerate affects scalp hydration and sebum levels. It features the combination of in vivo FTIR spectroscopy and scalp 3D mapping co-developed by TRI Princeton and Newtone Technologies. An introduction to 3D mapping on the scalp can be viewed here (https://library.triprinceton.org/1kptaa3/ ). 3D facial mapping is described here (https://www.triprinceton.org/3d-facial-mapping ).
At the Topicals Academy Samuel gave a training lecture on ‘Imaging excipient and drug transport through skin by FTIR and Raman spectroscopy’. A copy of this presentation is not available unless you registered for the event.
If you are interested in learning more about the capabilities of the Skin & Bio-Substrates team at TRI, keep an eye open for the on-line ‘Principles of Skin Measurements and Claims’ course coming soon in October, registrations will open very soon.
