The TRI ‘Fundamentals of Hair Science & Hair Claims Course 2025’, took place on May 13th and 14th, 2025. The hybrid event attracted 130 attendees, most of whom attended on-line, and 20 of whom attended both days in person. For those that have registered, all the presentations and slides can be accessed for three months at https://cvent.me/WyMR8o

Presentations in the course, delivered by experts from TRI, covered a wide range of topics, including hair structure, follicle biology, the basics of hair claims testing, hair product science, and many of the advanced hair claims testing methods used at TRI. This year there was a lab tour for live attendees, that was also filmed for people joining on-line. Problems with the internet in Princeton that day meant that live streaming of the tours was not possible. Recordings were sent out shortly afterwards instead. Attendees should contact us if they still need links to these videos.
Feedback from attendees was extremely positive this year. Some of the comments were:
“We learned so much”
“This two-day course was an enriching experience”
“I thoroughly enjoyed last week's course – it was both interesting and informative”
“An insightful and well-structured course. The sessions were highly informative, and the content provided was both relevant and valuable. I truly appreciated the clarity with which the topics were presented and the practical knowledge shared throughout. It was a great learning experience, and I look forward to applying these insights in my work.”
“Thank you again to you and your team for hosting such a wonderful course the past two days!”
