We have had a great deal of interest in podium and poster presentations (which must be given in-person at Red Bank, New Jersey). However, there’s always room for more and abstract submissions for podium presentations will remain open until Tuesday March 31st (1700, EST), and abstract submissions for posters will remain open until Friday May 8th (1700, EST). The schedule for the conference, as well as slots for podium presentations, are both available at the dedicated website.

The Fundamentals of Hair Science and Claims Course is filling up fast, with live places now sold out! The two-day intensive program – on April 15 and 16 – is a must-attend for those who work within hair science and claims substantiation.

TRI Princeton is proud to have offered local students and their instructors the opportunity to come and see what we do. Hosted by Shamish Ganpule and Ernesta Malinauskyte, five students and two instructors spent the day with the team, seeing the work being undertaken in the labs by our scientists. 

The TRI annual hair conference is held on alternate years and is known to showcase the scientific advances made in the fields of hair biology, hair structure and properties, hair damage and new methods and technologies. This year is no exception, with several keynote speakers already announced.

This fourth TRI Talk of 2025/26 was given by Dr. Ernesta Malinauskyte and was a whistle-stop tour of the work that TRI has recently undertaken into the world of hair lipids. While Ernesta is greatly interested in this area, it’s also receiving a great deal of attention from the haircare industry, and the more that we learn about hair lipids, the more it’s becoming clear that they are a vital part of hair and scalp health.

The TRI Talks are 60-minute on-line seminars on a wide range of topics designed to both inform and to inspire new ways of thinking.  This new Series will include five talks from experts at TRI and will run from November 2025 to February 2026.  The Series kicks off with a presentation on Wednesday 19th November (1pm Eastern Time) from Murielle Mason (Senior Research Associate) titled ‘Pin Straight to Ringlet Coil and Every Frizz In Between'

TRI presented at two posters, Impact of Ozone exposure on the skin: new method to monitor in-vivo oxidative damages related to skin barrier alteration, and Relevant technologies to develop future sunscreen products with onger and safer photoprotection.  

Mevalonic acid is being billed as a material that can deliver hydration – likely due to its ability to form hydrogen bonds with water molecules, locking water in the skin – and as an ingredient that can calm irritation and promote cell renewal.
